    NO CLASS ON: 9/26; 10/10; 10/17; 11/14

Prerequisite:  Completed Fit Dog Level 1, Intermediate Obedience, CGC class, OR equivalent. No dogs with unmanaged reactivity.

Description: Engaging in Dog Parkour offers an enjoyable way to stay active with our canine companions as we interact with the surrounding environment. Whether it's natural landscapes or urban settings, dogs can engage in various behaviors such as placing two feet on, four feet on, navigating around obstacles, practicing walking balance, executing gap jumps, and more. This activity not only strengthens the bond and teamwork between you and your dog, but also provides an avenue to conquer fresh challenges in different environments.

As dogs navigate these interactions, they build physical strength, flexibility, and overall conditioning. Moreover, Dog Parkour complements a range of other sports like agility, rally, and obedience.

This introductory class focuses on laying the foundation skills required for achieving the Novice title from the International Dog Parkour Association. These skills can be adapted for dogs under 18 months old.

Equipment: Well fitted flat collar, sturdy 6-8’ leash. Harnesses will be discussed during class. If you have a non-restrictive back clip harness, please bring it to class and we can evaluate if it is appropriate for dog parkour exercises.

    NO CLASS ON 11/27

    Prerequisite: Beginning  class or equivalent

    Description: Intermediate Obedience

This class builds teamwork between the dog and the handler. The class follows Beginning and increases the skills taught at that level. It is also an excellent class for the dog and handler that have been away from training and need to brush up on their skills. This class  helps to prepare the handler and dog for Canine Good Citizenship testing and introduces skills needed for Rally I.

Please note: This class is normally repeated several times for dogs and handlers to master the skills presented.  Dogs must master the skills of heeling (including right, left and about turns)  fronts, right and left finishes, and focus, to progress to Rally or Advanced classes.  Dogs and handlers learn at different speeds depending on past experience in training, age of dog etc.

    Instructor: Linda Hause

Please Note: Bring your dog to ALL classes
